*****DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS SELLER!!!!!!*****
SUEBEEHONEY· Review provided by walmart.com · December 13, 2024
I contacted this Seller prior to making the purchase as I was a bit concern about their product's (90 Days) warranty and possible appearance. And, simply because, preferably, I did "not" want to go through the process of receiving an item that I would eventually to have to return. So, I sent a message to this Seller and kindly requested that Seller to give me confirmation of the item's exact appearance and warranty status. I received a reply from Seller, Cell Surfers, that the device was in EXCELLENT CONDITION. However, once received, I could immediately tell that the item WAS NOT IN EXCELLENT CONDITION NOR WAS THIS ITEM CLOSE TO BEING "NEW". No where close. As the phone
had more than slight cosmetic scratches on it; front and back. Also, the phone already had a screen protector on it and there were scratches on it as well. Moreover, it was impossible for me to inspect the phone's actual screen without possibly inflicting additional
damages to the item. Plus, once power on the device was running HOT. What is so disturbing is, in Seller's product description in the "More details", portion Seller described their
product I was supposed to receive as a "NEW" item. This was clearly "not" the truth. Furthermore, I checked the phone's history
and that particular device has had at least 2 Owners, as the device history showed of at least 2 Sim Card used in the device when I check the phone's actual
IMEI Number 357111201252362 / 31. Additionally, I did not receive this item in the original SAMSUMG MANUFACTURER'S
RETALER BOX. Only the Seller packing, which showed the ESN/IMEI listed as "Good" and not an actual device IMEI Number on said packing. With all the issues I have indicated, foreseeable this phone
can very well die on me after the 90 Days warranty. Though, the storage capacity of 512GB was welcome, the condition of the
device was not worth $490.47. (*IMPORTANT "REFUND" NOTE: Once this Seller received their device back from me, on my RETURN DETAILS it
stated: "We'll credit your original payment method within 3 weeks of the item being shipped back.") - Ridiculous. They took my
money in SECONDS but expects a Buyer to wait 3 WEEKS........

**********DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS SELLER!!!!!!************
(NOTE: THIS SELLER IS "NOT" A TRUSTED SOURCE FOR A QUALITY DEVICE AS THEY HAVE PROVEN THEIR CHARACTER THROUGH MY EXPERIENCE WITH THEM.) - BUYERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[Rewarded Review] Disappointed with Geek squad Certified Refurbish

So I thought I would buy a refurb from Best Buys. 24 Month same as cash. I have had good luck in the past with refurbs from other companies. I waited for it to show up. I did all my transfers and then relized that the speaker was blown. As I needed a phone and could not reconnect my old phone, I went ahead and ordered a second of the same phone from them as the instore agent advised me to do. When the second supposedly unlocked phone showed up I went to connect it and found it had a locked IMEI #. I was after much stress and time able to get the second phone connected using the digital IMEI but I do not feel that should have been necessary. The phone does seem to fully work at this point but the screen did have about 4 or 5 tiny scratches that were not described in the listing title. To tell the truth the speaker still doesn't sound great but that may be the Samsung s22 ultra. IDK.I probably would not have gone with Best Buys if I had known there was going to be this much inattention to condition details. I had not experienced this in the past when buying a refurb. And if anything was wrong with the phone I was told so before purchase by a rating system. This one did not say it had flaws or at least not anywhere it was made obvious. As I do need a phone and I am tired of switching phones every two weeks I am going to live with this one. The scratches are not horrible. The speaker does work and I found a work around them sending me a locked phone as an unlocked phone. Not sure if the scratches show in the picture attached but I did try and show them. As I said if I had been told I was buying a potentially locked scratched phone with a faulty speaker I would have gone elsewhere. Sorry best buys. I am calling you out. You dropped the ball on this one. It was however my first disappointing experience with you. I have not sworn off your company as of yet. Hopefully you may get a chance for redemption in the future but I doubt I will ever do mail service second hand.

Quality:it was okay for 2 weeks
Performance:same, okay for 2 weeks

Purchased made on 24/1/24, seller asked first if can change colour before proceeding, then received the packaging on 29/1/24.

For a week - the device seemed to be working fine, so I took off the red sticker, didn't know it was the warranty bcs I thought the warranty will be on paper. (Also didn't notice whether the sticker written 'seal' on it or not, but regardless I took it off bcs I think it was in good condition, checked the battery and else, and other costumers review were mostly good). And I thought the warranty mentioned on the paper meant the box packaging. My bad, my english sucks.

Then on 10/2 cny, in morning I woke up, my phone died, I remembered it had still few more percentage before I sleep, I tried turning it on but couldn't. Charged it for hrs but still only 1% and can barely manage to turn on (turned on then turned off right away). I asked seller but since I've took off the sticker they couldn't seem to do much about it.

So I went to authorized samsung repair centre in shah alam, to ask about my phone condition which initially I thought it was battery problem. Turned out, they told me it was the motherboard. They attempted to repair it but to no avail.

So bye2 to my RM 2.5k. It hurts but I guess it's just my luck. Just sharing my experience here. Lessons to take from my story is to never take off the sticker no matter how good your device looks.
Shocking

Nearly every phone I've ever owned has been a refurb. And there are several reasons for that but until now, I haven't had a reason to second guess my choice. This is the single worst refurb job I've owned and that includes the phones I've repaired myself (terribly) the phone I ordered was described as "Excellent" condition. What I recieved was far, far from it. The first thing I noticed was that nearly every surface of this phone was sticky. This is because of the terrible job the refurbishers did gluing the rear panel onto this phone. There's glue visibly seeping from underneath, onto the rest of the phone. Not to mention that the camera lenses have debris inside them, impossible to clean without dismantling the phone. Finally this phone rattles when I shake it. Like a infants toy. Seriously, this was shocking. I've contacted the seller, hopefully they reimburse me well. I'm very lucky that I don't desperately need this phone at the moment, and have time to work through this.
